Suurimmassa osassa Itävaltaa, eteläistä Tšekkiä ja Puolaa on satanut rankasti jo lähes viikon ajan, mikä on aiheuttanut merkittäviä tulvia. Hallitus on julistanut koko Ala-Itävallan alueen katastrofialueeksi. Lisäksi Steiermark ja Ylä-Itävallan osavaltiot ovat kärsineet rankkasateiden aiheuttamista vakavista tulvista.
Useat valtatiet (A2, A1 ja A3) ovat tukossa erityisesti Ala-Itävallassa (pääasiassa violetti alue kartalla) ja Wienin julkinen liikenne on keskeytetty. Useimpiin DB Schenkerin terminaaleihin pääsee tällä hetkellä, mutta tilanne voi muuttua, sillä vedenpinnan odotetaan saavuttavan huippunsa tiistaina.
Tilanteella on vaikutusta liiketoimintaamme ja työntekijöidemme pääsyyn toimipisteisiimme. Noudossa ja jakelussa on viiveitä, sillä emme pääse kaikille jakelualueille. Eniten vaikutusta on suuntiin VIE ja STP, mutta tilanne vaikuttaa myös yhteyksiin LNZ:hen, GRZ:hen ja KLU:hun.
Kuljetuksiin on odotettavissa viiveitä seuraavien kahden päivän aikana.

Heavy rain across most of Austria, the southern Czech Republic and Poland has been ongoing for almost a week now, causing significant flooding. The government has declared the entire state of Lower Austria a disaster area. In addition, Styria and Upper Austria have been hit by severe flooding due to heavy rainfall.
Several highways (A2, A1 and A3) are blocked, especially in Lower Austria (mainly violet zone on the map) and public transportation in Vienna is suspended. Most of the DB Schenker terminals are currently accessible, but this could change in the coming hours as the water levels are expected to peak on Tuesday.
We expect our business to be affected. Many of our employees in the area will not be able to come to work. Some must look after their homes, which have also been affected. Pickup and distribution will be affected by our inability to reach all distribution areas. The most affected are VIE and STP, but connections to LNZ, GRZ and KLU may also be affected. Expect delays to scheduled shipments within the next two days.
